I’ve tweaked one of the WordPress templates, using some elements from the current Standon Calling holding page.  It’s not much to look at, but it’s enough to get us started.  I’m a great believer that less is more as far as blog design goes – I like keeping it simple, and concentrating on a regular turnover of great content, chock full of photos, video and all the rest.

With that in mind, I’m going to put this through it’s paces and try embedding some bits and bobs.

First up, a little patch of interior design from the Love Hotel, the scene of much nefarious nonsense on my part in the year of our lord, 2008:

And now for a bit of Youtubage, and an official promo from 2007, a year in which I wasn’t fortunate enough to make it to Standon, and instead spent a weekend sitting around at home trying to avoid spending the entire time thinking about the fact that I wasn’t at Standon:

I was there in 2006. It was my last hurrah before becoming a parent. Of all the last hurrahs, it was definitely one of the best.

I posted about my experiences of Standon 2008 on my own blog last year, and I’m hoping I’ll get the chance to post to this on a reasonably regular basis before, during and after the event. We shall see.
